Wherever you are and no matter which device you’re using, accessing and retrieving archived email is an essential requirement for any business that has mobile workers or supports remote offices.
In a world where people are constantly on the move, the ability to retrieve and read all email, including those that have been archived is essential. Whether in the office, at home, or on the road, users require full access to their email anytime, anywhere.
Archive One addresses this need head on, providing the most comprehensive options for accessing and searching archived email. Support is provided for accessing your archived email on all major browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, as well as the browsers running on Blackberry and Windows mobile 5 and 6 devices.
How it works
No matter which device you are using to collect and read your email, you can use that same device to look-up historic items that have already been moved to the ‘on-line’ repository storage that is controlled by Archive One Policy Manager.
A simple click on the message stub that resides in your mailbox allows Archive One Policy Manager to retrieve the stored item and render it within seconds in a web compatible format.

The whole retrieval process uses standard HTML and web connections so any device that supports web browsing will allow email users to open and read their historic email records while on the move.
Archive One Policy Manager provides multiple transparent means to access archived email using existing clients and does not require training or new processes.
Laptop sync - ‘always have your archived items with you’
Users of laptops and other mobile PCs are also able to keep a synchronized copy of their email archive data with them so that they can have access to their historic email, appointment and contact records - even when they are totally off-line.
The Archive One laptop sync function is totally resilient, so that even if a portable computer disk is broken, a new PC will automatically repopulate the synchronized copy of the archive from empty.
Users can gain access to their archived information via Archive One Policy Manager through the following technologies:
- Outlook within and external to the network
- Outlook away from the office and disconnected from the internet
- Any compatible Outlook Web Access (OWA) browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Netscape, and Safari
- Windows mobile 5 and 6 devices
- Palm devices using synchronized folders
- Any desktop client with browser combination - such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Entourage, POP3 Clients, IMAP4 Clients
